Clint relaxing after touring the Pueblo.

After touring the Pueblo we rode back into Taos and stopped for lunch at El Taoseno Restaurant. I liked it. Clint wasn't quite as pleased and was feeling a little poorly. After lunch he decided to go back to the Wal-Mart lot and find a shady spot to rest. I rode back to the downtown plaza, found a place to park and strolled the shops and galleries. I met back up with Clint at 3 p.m. and we headed back to Santa Fe with a small group taking Hwy 68 back through the Rio Grande River Canyon. When we got back we grabbed a few beers from the hospitality room and made some sandwiches in our room for dinner. Then we went to a safety officer meeting for the Southwest Conference. That was actually pretty good. We had an opportunity to showcase our reflective patches and get the word out about them.

Our room had a balcony but space was tight!

On Friday morning we were up for another early walk and then made a run to a Laundromat to do some wash. Clint was interested in attending the SW Conference business meeting at 9 a.m. so he headed off to that. I walked over to the shopping area near the hotel and was able to scheduled an hour massage that worked out some of those road kinks. I browsed around a book store and then went over to Josh's Barbecue for lunch. I had a pulled pork sandwich and it was really good. I tried their extra hot BBQ sauce which was plenty hot.

I met up with Clint a little after noon and we got ready for the ride into downtown Santa Fe. They took us on a scenic loop around the outskirts and then into downtown. We were escorted to a special free parking area on Lincoln Ave. From there we ventured off on a walking tour of downtown.
